Nice to meet you!

Welcome to Looking Forward Counseling, PLLC.

I wholeheartedly believe that we have the innate resiliency to forge change and evolve to create deeper fulfillment and a better quality of life. Therapy can be a safe and holistic space for working through challenges so that you can find freedom from past patterns, habits and thoughts that are getting in the way of what you really want: a greater sense of connection, more loving relationships, deeper contentment, and more personal clarity. I believe we all have the power to heal, thrive and deepen our joy every day. I am dedicated to providing a safe space for people of all backgrounds and identities and hold this principal as a foundation of establishing healing space for doing therapeutic work.

I received a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as a national Boys & Girls Clubs of America scholarship recipient. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness practices, EMDR, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Sex, Desire and Attachment and Anxiety Healing as well a Trauma-Informed Yoga interventions for therapy. I am also a Certified Sound Healer and offer immersive sound healing experiences.

I’m a proud first generation Romanian-American immigrant, who has called Colorado home since 2009, after moving to Denver to work as a Cultural Arts Director at the Denver Broncos Boys & Girls Club through AmeriCorps. I have lived in six countries throughout my life–Romania, Germany, England, France, South Korea and the States (grew up mostly in Baltimore, MD, now I’ve settled in Evergreen, CO). These experiences have given me a deep-rooted respect and appreciation for culture and diversity. I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my fiancé Will and Looking Forward’s certified therapy dog Luna Meru. I love spending time in nature, visiting hot springs, camping, hiking, travel both near and far, reading, concerts, practicing yoga and meditation. Values I hold near and dear to my heart include: loving kindness, integrity, truth, sustainability, respecting indigenous people, wisdom and lands, equity, racial justice, reverence for nature, person-centered and culturally sensitive thinking.

I am always looking for new opportunities to expand my professional development and surround myself with mentors and colleagues who offer extensive experience and perspective that provide invaluable insight to my practice. This year, I trained in Sex, Desire & Attachment healing, best practice clinical processes, as well as trauma-informed yoga integration in session.

I use a person-centered, solutions-focused framework. I utilize evidence-based CBT and value-based mindfulness tools to work with others towards personal goals, fostering intentional change and creating deeper fulfillment.

I believe that there is far more that connects us than that which divides us. I also think having a sense of humor about it all is important! We all deserve levity and lightness, especially when dealing with the hardest parts of life.  If it sounds like I may be a good-fit for what you’re looking for in therapy, I’d love the opportunity to speak with you more.

Stay well, wonderful and weird!
